They have a pretty good Air Force. In the last 20 years its come a long way. Syria is no match for the TAF.

Beeb says it was a MiG, fighter-bomber.

The pictures are kind of misleading, doesn't appear to be crashing or burning. Just appears to be possibly firing rockets and pulling out of a dive.
