Looks nice so far! I think it could use a good narrator instead of the text. A good booming voice always catches the views attention.

I think a more high speed song would work better for the fast intensity of aerial combat as well.

Once again your camera work is amazing Dolby!  :aok

good ad but I hate that song

The song can be replaced. Unfortunately the younger gen doesn't tend to go for the WWII era big bands.

Screams for smaller text (less is more) and maybe some typography effects. An example would be about 1:18 in this ad:

If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

In all honesty, I feel like the clip showing a 262 blowing a p51 up will make some people who would otherwise join the game shy away. Just my opinion anyway, still looks great.

I thought it was a bit slow moving and didn't capture the "excitement" you want in a 30 spot. Long shots don't do it, you need to be sweeping in WITH the plane in the shot, almost like a "to tight" wingman covering from your tight 6. Picture the pilot talking with his hands and showing the maneuvers. One hand would be the plane, the other the camera.

While I know your a big Luftwieny, I think the jets should be down played. We only have the one and they are not seen THAT often in the arenas. A 109 vs a pony would be a better choice. Unfortunately I think the song should be something more recently on the charts. Something in the last few years, some punk headbanging crap with a hard heavy beat. Something the late teens to mid 20 somethings would recognize and us old farts would hate  :D

Other than that, I'm glad your messing with this and hope HTC gives it an honest look.

I think it is great, and I love the song.

Thoughts, the text is great though the frequent breaks into text was a bit distracting, I wanted to see the action. Maybe the text overlayed the flight. Also, a shot from the pilot's view pulling some G's and going into the black tunnel would be great. All in all, I'll post it on some threads when you are done with it.

Now for some bigger thoughts...a series of these that would appeal to specific interests. Something with B-17s for those who love Memphis Belle or 12'clock High. Some Navy birds for that genre; something showing ground work, such as the Stuka taking out a tank, etc.

Great stuff!

The 262 vs 51 is a very poor choice in my opinion.  You should have used the 109 with the 51.

The text shots are, poor, for lack of a different word.  It felt bland and a bit half-arsed.  You should change the font style, making it 2-5 points smaller and maybe go all caps.  What if you were to blurr the video in the background when you want to do the text?  Having it completely black is what is really making it feh.

The song is okay with me, but that is also a fault.  It's just okay.

Something like this may work better.  The general sound I meant, not that song. :)

The whole thing got me a little curious, but the text bits were a throw back.  The 262 vs 51 would have also kept my curiosity down enough that I would only think about it, but not actually do much more than that.  "Jet vs Prop?  Well that sure looks like fun for me in the prop...if I where a masochist.".   Have to remember, most kids now-a-days are a bit...ignorant.  What they are going to see, a jet fighter fighting a propeller plane.  What they are going to think, "Jet vs that thing!? I want jet! Jet has missiles!".

Just a simple truth. :(

Personally, since I know what I'm looking it, I think it's solid.  Change the attacker at the very least and you will have made it 10 times better. :aok

I was sat bored doing nothing, considering what my next film should be.
I often go back to my last films footage and stick it to music I'm thinking of using.
As you can tell, it's a research exercise moment like my Equinox film; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K19ytUz12b0

I spent 2-3 hours just putting a concept together; from a scene in my "Strebenstein" film, and a recognisable piece of music that won some awards.
I remembered another game using it in their trailer, and thought it would be a good fit for perhaps when the new terrain shows up.

The thought would be. not just one ad but many for the different forces.
The one shown here could be an example of the Luft Ad. There would be the RAF, Japanese, Russian, USA and the complete the collection.

A complete collection concept is good.

That was the route I figured.  I'm quite curious to how you'll do the others, that is for sure. :aok  The music you chose is okay.  Personally I like it, but it's something I hardly hear any of the younger groups listening too.  If the video was longer, then maybe it would have a better impact with that song?  But for a 30 second ad, it feels bit off.
