Pappy Pics For surfinn
« on: April 04, 2014, 12:35:16 PM »
I know surfinn may peruse the boards now and then but I don't know his forum ID....I promised him these pictures of Lt. Col Greg Boyington that my (then girlfriend) wife and I took at an air show where I interviewed him for my radio show.  We had done three previous radio interviews before the air show.  The guy was a hero but was just like the guy next door in real life.  He is sadly missed  :salute

I had the honor of meeting Boyington and shaking his hand several times as a kid.  He was a regular fixture at the POF airshows in Chino.   :salute

Wow.  That is really cool.  Sadly, too many people do not who he was.

Thank you very much for that. If you ever decide to sell any of your autographed items please PM me.  I grew up watching ba ba black sheep. As an adult I looked up Pappys history and was a bigger fan of the real man.  :rock
