When going through the recruitment process to join the USMC my recruiter looked at my ASVAB scores and told me I could do pretty much whatever I wanted.

So I went infantry

Combat school is where you learn to defend against/attack with a piece of fresh fruit

hey they told me the same thing accept it was for the navy.

So I went next door to the airforce recruitment office  and saw that board with pics of all the attractive girls that recently joined...thinkin AF

The Navy wanted me to be a nuclear engineer and stick me on a sub or carrier.  Minimum 6 year enlistment, plus I would glow in the dark for the next 30 years.  I wanted to be a SEAL, but I could get a guaranteed Ranger contract, as long as I passed all the required schools.  Will always be extremely happy with my choice.

same here, they said I could do whatever I wanted due to my score but that they would try to push me into nuclear. I can't remember what my score was though.
