R9 295X2 card
« on: April 14, 2014, 02:43:10 PM »
This card has 2 GPUs. I think I remember a problem with AH and dual gpu cards? Is that correct? As I understand it would not operate in crossfire mode but the card would handle the load between the gpus?

If performance is the only question, even a single R9 will run AH like water. As for potential other problems with xfire.. I wouldn't touch one just like I wouldn't touch a SLI setup.

You would like to run AH on 6 screens or what?
This device is way overkill. On 3 monitors, a single 290x or a 780ti will give you the same 60fps - for ~600$ instead of 1500. Your choice.

I also run a Prepar3d v2 setup. I know it would run AH ok but am interested if the two GPU config would cause problems?

No it will not.  If you got the money to splurge on one, go for it and enjoy.
