spawn campers tower with no kills awarded?

OK, maybe I've been confused about the way kills are awarded, but I thought I was pretty sure that to tower and not give away a kill with an enemy GV or aircraft as close as 400 away, you had to be sitting on concrete.

3 times I had eggs in the air, bomb crater exactly where the enemy GV had been sitting while camping our spawn, and 3 times he towered after bombs were released, no kill.

bug or am I not correct about how that works?

I have film of the 3rd time, it was the same guy all 3 times I'm pretty sure.

agreed  with drane,unless he was sitting on concrete either in town or on the base------even if you was not attacking and just passing by, you should have gotten the kill.  

how close were you by the way??????????

is it possible a friendly had a ping on him and when he towered, they got the kill or were closer for a proxy?

only 1 friendly nearby, he didn't get kill either. I released eggs at 400 all 3 passes.

So the bombs hadn't hit yet?  Doesn't that just generate a capture/ditch on an undamaged GV, with no 'kill' awarded to anybody?

A spawn camper is usually in friendly territory when conducting his business. That means, the worst he can get when towering out (and being undamaged at that moment) is a 'ditch'.

Upon further thought, I knew that.  

A real chickenshat part of the game, that ought to be changed. camping is cheesy enough, towering to keep from getting killed, meh.

It's 1000 feet travel distance, not altitude. If he was going fast enough it could have travelled the 1000' to arm.
