Anyone noticed the engine is mounted with quite a bit of left hand direction to it?
Oh! Both of the gunsights had something in common with the reticle. There were two reticle. One was a fixed arrangement of rings with 8 rays that were open slots with a small rectangular opening to show a kmp speed marker. The second could be rotated using the big dial on the front of each gunsight example. This corresponded with speeds the pilot expected his target to be flying at in kph. So he would dial the second reticle around until the kph he wanted showed through. This would then reveal rays with hold off dots for holding lead against a target traveling at the given speed.
Here so you don't get headachs trying to visualize this:
Those rings and ends of the rays, are the classic "Bag the Hun" 5, 10, 20, 30 degree angle to your line of travel. One BIG gunsight reticle.
