2- Threads should remain on topic, do not "hijack" topics.

3- Do not open a new thread that duplicates a current topic.

Agreed. In fact HTC is unusually lenient as far as thread moderation goes compared to other game forums.

I doubt very many really ever had a thread locked and not known why.  If they really didn't, they need to be disarmed of all devices connected to the internet

Thats why the subsuquent threads have been locked, yes, but that doesn't state why the initial thread was locked.
