I know what you mean. If you .accept the duel though, what is preventing someone from interrupting the duel? Perhaps 'immunity' from everyone else's rounds until you or the other dueler die? Does that mean that everyone else is immune to your collisions, rounds or bombs while you are dueling/have accepted a duel?
I can see bugs of players accepting duels, then charging through furballs unable to die because they have accepted a duel. Or trolling players because they are immune to enemy fire/can't shoot anyone down.
Not attacking, just observations of reprocussions.
That's open ended. As I recalled, and Tilt confirmed, it was a 'private' fight between the players. HTC could also leave it 'public' so that others could watch, but not interfere with their ammo or collisions, but that might cause an issue with people intentionally flying into the fight as a distraction.
I wouldn't want it abused in the manner that you described - that would be a big PITA.
Remember, this is just a wish, and it would need to be coded and tested before going live.
I didn't take your comments as an attack. Short messages don't convey the same emotions as interpersonal communication. It's the same with my staff at work, so I use the phone or talk face-to-face.
