first there are no rules for pms. second it was a single pm to a single person. and third i was just repeating what you had already acknowledged.

Oh, there most certainly are.  Same rules apply to PM's as to postings, only a violation in a PM is treated much harsher.

Are we supposed to report naughty PM's? I always figured private was personal speech. Some players hate what my gunsights do for me in the game. I'd rather they just get a copy and shoot back. They are free.

The board uses the same posting rules for PM's or posts.

In the game, it is up to the person receiving the PM if they want to .report it or not.  That said, if someone goes out of their way to be abusive in a game PM, they usually will lose their privs for whatever the arena setting is (usually 8 days +/- a few hours).
