When planning to buy FLY 5 stick, many AHers warned I would be disappointed. Well I should've listened, because this is the 2nd one to fail in 1 year with the same problem, spiking rudder.
It does have a 2 year warranty...however...consumer has to pay shipping to get it back to MadCatz. That's not cheap! At this rate (2 per year) the cost of shipping it 4 times would buy a decent quality flight stick.
Called MadCatz and they would not offer to cover shipping. I decided to stop playing this silly game with MadCatz and spend the shipping money on a Thrustmaster T-16000 instead.
Once that was decided opened it up and found the problem. The wire bundle that goes to the pot for rudder (twist) on bottom of stick shaft is too short. The workmanship is shoddy. The design is not the best. Yes I can fix it but it's not worth it.
