Missed the local air how here April 19th because I was out of town.  My airplane mechanic adopted sister told me they were offering free rides in the Mitchell.  Talk about bummed.

Yes.  When my sister told me that the B-25 Mitchell group was taking up spectators, other aircraft engineers (of which she is one) I winced...missing it by a week.

Maybe next year.

The Collings Foundation sells rides on their B-25, B-17, and B-24, all for approx. $450 for about half an hour.  And you get to travel everywhere you can get to in flight. 

They visit all around the country every year.  The schedule:

Definitely worth it at least once in a lifetime.
