Sunglasses
« on: May 06, 2014, 01:51:39 AM »
I dont know about you guys, but when I fly my small ultralights or drive car in good weather I almost always use sunglasses.
Would it not be be easy to implement a dotcommand for setting up a filter equivalent for the fighting forces sunglasses ?
My ammo last for 6 Lancasters, or one Yak3.

If you put a pair of sunglasses on... It works for the game...

Hide the sun with the cockpit frame. Directional arrow keys and PgUp/Dwn work fine. :)

Better yet a key assignment.  i doubt HTC takes off  in his RV without a cool pair of shades. :)

Well, I understand that it does hurt; the immediate transition between 'normal' and that 'bright' sun. While it isn't as bright as the actual sun, that transition in a game is rough.

I, and many others have asked for this on numerous occasions, at times the sun in game can be absolutely ridiculous and in reality most if not all pilots were issued with sunglasses or tinted glass goggles.

RAF issued A.M. MKVIII 22C/962 Aircrew Spectacles

This should be a toggle-able option :old:

I believe the real issue is the lighting in this game is backwards. For example, if I point my plane at the sun the instrument panel and everything else should get darker. In this game the whole screen around the sun becomes brighter which is incorrect. I believe a "-" negative sign needs to be added in the program.

I recommend everyone shine a flashlight in HTC's eyes because he may like it. :devil

That will most likely be addressed in the new terrain engine, if you've seen the new lighting and shadows/sunrise looks good.  :aok

Yes but only to drown out the other players screaming at me to turn it off during a spawn  battle and I'm in a Tank Destroyer ;)
