Speaking of the Airacuda, my now deceased friend (and former Flying Tiger) Erik Shilling flew the YFM-1 Airacuda, and thought it an electrical nightmare.

He also flew the Curtiss YP-37A, which conspired to kill him.

Just read the Airacuda write-up. The fire control setup with gyro-stabilized guns is pretty cool, but powering EVERYTHING full time with the APU? Insane.  :uhoh
