perked grunts

Instead of requiring 10 regular grunts. You can purchase special forces grunts for perks. Say only 3 special forces grunts required for a capture, making the jeep more relevant for a base capture.

HTC has their reasons, what they are and why is for them and only them to know.

I've vouched for a multitude of changes regarding troops.  Everything from specialized troops to destroy auto ack and other OBJ, to allowing more troops on C47 and LVT to be more accurate to the #'s they actually carried.

To this day it remains 10 troops per troops carrier ('cept the jeep), and 10 troops for capture.  I'd like to see troops be a real concern.  Being able to shoot just 1 of them and save the day for the defenders is a bit too easy.

I was thinking the U.S. troops could be rangers, the british troops could be s.a.s., japanese troops could be ninjas. Not sure what the politically correct German troops would be.

That is another thing that would be neat to have: say US marines from the LVT-2, British paras from the C47, US or Soviet infantry from the M3, German infantry from the SdKfz 251, and pick your poison for the jeep.

"PC"???  In the eyes of many there is nothing "PC" about Germany in WWII, 'cept those of us who understand the larger context. In short though, having basic German infantry would suffice.  I think it to be HTC policy to not have any swastikas, so nothing to really worry about.
