Well if you want it more in the form of humorous analogy, I'd compare it more to his sticking an appendage (won't say which one) in the tiger's mouth and shouting "bite me".  And then got bit.

When you break the rules you face the ban-hammer, simple as that.  The best way to affect change is probably from the inside using the systems at hand, rather than getting yourself thrown out.  Making HTC out as the bad guys for enforcing rules will likely also get you nowhere but the door.
