Whatever happened to Zazen?
« on: June 04, 2014, 12:26:48 PM »
I used to thoroughly enjoy his heretical posts on this board.
"Crikey, sir. I'm looking forward to today. Up diddly up, down diddly down, whoops, poop, twiddly dee - decent scrap with the fiendish Red Baron - bit of a jolly old crash landing behind enemy lines - capture, torture, escape, and then back home in time for tea and medals."

Ashes to ashes; dust to dust.

I miss his posts and "how to's" as well. He was epic in field guns and anti air gv's.

I think he just got tired of the "dweebery" that now seems to infest the game. He was one of those guys that just loved to fight. Whether it was holding off the LTARs as they went for a base or picking cons out of the air as they tried to come in a bomb the hangers to end a fight in his osty.

I always enjoyed his posts too, and have noticed a void of dedicated Typhoon pilots since he left. He inspired me to take it up for a spin a few times, but I will trade a bit of firepower any day for something that can at least out-roll a B-17.

Never ever stall that puppy out! I can only say I'm remorseful.

Surrounded by suck and underwhelmed with mediocrity.

Zazen became a father and slowly disappeared from AH...  he was the all time bad bellybutton in the 37mm field gun... many, many times I'd see him jump in a gun before a raid, and all the raiders would die and he'd land 10+ kills.. lolz :aok

Even the Wirbelgawd bows in Zazen's presence.  It was his field gun and Ostwind write-ups that I learned from.  We are not worthy....
