KI61 isn't over modeled, and if you mean the KI43, I rarely fly it and it can't go 600 in a dive and still out turn everything, doesn't climb with a K4, doesn't take hits like a jug, doesn't hold it's E like a spit, and doesn't roll like a 190

D-25 vs 190a5.

They match up so well in a fight you never really are sure who's going to come out on top. Plus a5 pilots are usually above a average or better.

I was an animal in the Yak3, in other games. I will take the time to relearn it here once in used to the physics, it's a labor of love and frustration.

I see virtually all the responses have been from fighter pilots, but I only fly fighters in moments of utter bish desperation and wanted to put in a plug for my favorite plane, the Ki67. Excellent speed and climb rate for a buff, formidable guns, and it takes a lot more damage than many think it ought to.
My fav plane to fight? The Me262. It's a big target and as long as I have a little E I can maneuver to get a pretty good shot at it as it swooshes in for the kill.

Its the only fighter i can fly and kill anything in. And when i get shot down i can always blame it on the fact that his plane was better. 
But my favourite is B-17. Why running around and turn and s**t when u can just sit and watch your next meal coming and serve itself.
