Perk Planes
« on: June 23, 2014, 02:50:30 PM »
This might be a question that was asked before, but I couldn't find the thread anywhere.
So when you buy a plane do you get to keep that plane even if you get shot down, or
once you get shot you dont have the plane anymore and you have to buy it again?

If you don't land your perk plane you lose your perk points deposit. If you land it you can fly it again with a new deposit.

You get your perk points refunded if you land successfully.  In bombers with drones each drone costs perks so you only get the refund for the bombers you actually bring home.

If you get shot down in a perk plane you lose the perks you spent.  If you successfully land the perk plane you don't lose any perks.

Think of it this way. HTC has allowed us to fly many aircraft with no price. But there are a few that cost money to rent. As long as you land safely your deposit (perk price apon take off, rate changes) plus any perks you earned go to ur bank. You can then rent again, but if your shot down, bail or you lose the plane you forfeit the deposit. other then a ditch ( landing closer to a friendly field then enemy field) where you lose half the deposit.

No, you lose them all.

It is all or nothing.  Landed successfully = 100% of perks returned, anything else = 0% of perks returned.

Unless they recently changed it.  I'll look in patch notes.

He was right.
Ditch = 50% loss. Had always been this way as long as I'm playing AH.

I think he might be thinking perks earned during the sortie (not those paid for the "rental" of the plane).

In this case (ditching a perk plane) you'd get half of any perk points EARNED during the sortie for a ditch, but you lose the ones you paid for the plane, correct?

You get full perks earned for every way you end the sortie but a safe landing - in that case you get a 25% bonus.

How dare you waste perfectly good perk points just to prove a point!!! :aok

Most new players would be envious,I'm sure you have a pie chart to show the envy level vs time ingame when it comes to perk usage.... :neener:

    :salute

PS: Lusche I know it will only take 1 sortie to gain them back, but I bet you dont use a 51 or sit 16......

Nifty.  I did not know that.  I thought it was all or nothing.
