Where are my right click six calls???

Kirin must not have explained myself very well. The button you would press would be totaly different then the padlock system,
it would be just how the person is chosen for the 6 call would be simlar to how the target  selection Padlock target choosing system works i.e. would be as simple as look at person, and press a key or button.

What would be nice is if each aircraft type could have a "6call.wav" file.  That way you could have the call in Japanese, Italian, Finnish, German, Russian, Portugese, American accented English and English accented English, depending on what you are flying.  Or you could just use the same call for all aircraft.

Damn, I think HT always has the best bait for us fishes. (because I'm really curious as to how far away a 6 call will be)

so if there are 10 guys in the view other than the one you want to call you just hold the view and 6 call random guys till you get it right ? sorry right click sounds alot better to me.

towd,

I'd go for prev-next-send buttons on keyboard rather than a mouse. Icon of some sort above/around the target indicates to whom the six call will go to. Naturally the cycle list could be sorted like:

wingman ( .hl )
squad ( there was some .command for squad hl )
rest-of-friendlies

and each of those alpahbeticly. Or maybe you could just chose to have all names alphabeticly sorted with out any weighting.

ht... I don't have the faiontest idea of what you are talking about.   is it that I have to switch view systems to some kinda padlock and then 'target' someone to click on?   I don't really see how anything could be simpler than  pointing with the mouse tho.

wizz.. Heck, I don't need the six calls for me.  I simply assume that someone is on my six at all times.  In WB my buffer was solid white with calls.  I am.... the designated dragger.

No.... I want the six calls to warn guys that are assleep at the switch so that I can make life harder for the Amish, alt weenie, cowardly (cough) "e" fighters in the game.   I wanna make em have to earn their kills and not depend on nobody being able to type fast enough.

I vote for HT's idea.

lazs,  This is the way I understand it:  You see a friendly (in any view) who needs a six call.  You press a key (or button on a flight control), and one of the friendlies in the current view is highlighted.  If the wrong friendly is highlighted, keep pressing the key until you get the right one.  Then press a second key (or flight control button) to send the six call.

The advantage for me would be not having to use the mouse and hold the view at the same time.  If the six call keys were programmed to flight control buttons, you wouldn't have to take your hands off them at all.

I think I get it HiTech.  It's different but it could actually be easier to use than a point and click - with a nice twist of randomness tossed in when multiple friendlies are in view.

Well... I'm with Yeager on this subject.

With the minimum system requirements and cheaper computer prices, there is no reason why people shouldn't have RW running while playing AH.

The channel problem. SOLVED. Join a posted mission and quit all the furball lonewolf flying around with no plan. Your Mission planner should be smart enough to assign each flight their own RW channel. Mission pilots should be smart enough to follow the profile and fly together. Using proper SA, EVERY pilot in the mission should have no worries and get instant VERBAL calls on the assigned channel with their flight.

Hmm... I forgot. No one wants to "waste" time getting a mission breif and joining a coordinated effort. They just want to fly at the same target all night and never get anywhere. But they all love to call on country channel..
"Are there any Bombers OTW here?"
"Are the Goons OTW there?"
"Could somesome be my wingman?"
"Where should I fly my bomber?"

JOIN A DAMNED MISSION! FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT! MAKE YOUR COUNTRY PROUD! BECOME A HERO! WIN THE WAR!

With only one RW channel at a time feasible, RW as an answer doesn't work for me.  I tune to the squad vox channel whenever I log on and even if I am not flying along side in the same area of the MA I do like to banter with them.
I will tune RW on a mission, like I have in the past with Zigrats/Ripsnorts missions, if it's a quick Jabo type of strike.   And those are the missions I like. Fast, simple and they do not take forever to organize or get to target.

Thanks pop.  Still.... It takes two buttons and... you have to click through however many guys are in your view (which is changing obviously) and.... if you switch views to see how you are.... you have to start all over again.   I never right clicked guys while I was in a fight anyway so using the mouse was quit simple for me.   either way tho.... I'll be happy.   Two buttons and changeups seems kinda cumbersome to me is all.
