4th of July goes boom
« on: July 03, 2014, 09:45:41 PM »
I had the awesome pleasue of being alive when fireworks were legalized in our state. now i hear booms going off every 10 seconds.  I constantly think of the the line "and bombs bursting in air..." and I wonder what would America be like if chaos hit the fan and our livelihood was at stake.  would we , with all our differences come together to die to eliminate the scourge that threatened our freedom and all that enjoy.  what exactly do we Americans hold dearly that we could passionately give our lives for.  and ultimately, do we even respect the fact that we can(are) be relatively free from the brutal perspectives that so many in the world have.

Happy 4th

My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Clearly the best day to invade the USA is the 4th of July. With all the fireworks going off no one would notice until it was too late.  :devil

The best time to invade Ireland would be Halloween. Bonfires are lit and fireworks are set off, in spite of both being illegal.  :headscratch: With all the noise of fireworks and the smoke and flame from the fires. It's like a first class battle going on. On the other hand with a tiny army and no air defence any day will do. :(

Happy fourth to all you Americans!

I often think of the same things...sadly most "American citizens" have been trained too long to be sheep..... to be any sort of threat to an invading force.

Just came back to my hotel in Oslo after visiting the 4th of July Am-Car meeting in Lillestrøm. More than 3000 Am-Cars showed up, and some real classics too. Was pretty awesome!

I guess but you know who would invade the USA? Any army that attacks would think. Why am I doing this? This is America, land of opportunity. WTF are we thinking? Time to surrender and ask for asylum and open an Ice cream parlour.

I really don't want to build up your American egos anymore than it's inflated already but it's not the worst place In the world to live. That's based on living there for a time and meeting real Americans. You guys are OK.

Be proud of that
