1) Reduce the hanger damage score for 2,800lbs to 1,500lbs, allowing more aircraft the opportunity to take down hangers. Right now the American lineup dominates the offensive roll as they are the only planes that can take on hangers by themselves.

2) Introduce a perked ordnance system perking ords greater than 2,000lbs. This way single engine fighters cannot take down multiple hangers without a little more risk involved.

3) Reduce enemy icon range 3.0k, giving the higher ENY aircraft an opportunity to escape a fight if the situation demands it.

4) Perk all aircraft with 10 ENY or less similarly to the way tanks are perked. Most won't be afraid to risk 1-2 perks for their Pony D or LA7, but they wont be so suicidal.

5) Perk all 4 engine bombers as listed above, to cut down on bomb n' bailers/lanc-kaze

6) Allow the use personal skins. I don't know on the technical level how difficult this would be, but it shouldn't be to hard considering everyone has the option of turning off custom skins.

While I see your perspective on that, I think that the reason why we don't (and won't) see p40s or any other low ord loadout plane, is because most of them simply don't perform as well as the late war monsters.

P38s and p51s are planes I see the most with ord attacking anything.  Also, Tu-2s don't carry many ords, yet lately, I have run into more TU-2s that I have any other bomber. I have only seen 2 formations of lancs and 1 of b17s.    I'm not sure that lowering the hangar health would do anything good.  While I do support it, I am not convinced that it wouldn't be abused in some way.

It simply gives even more power to the late war monsters. Assuming it was added, and the Hangar health was reduced.. sure you can 'now' kill hangars in some of the mid-war planes. However, late war planes have more of an impact.  Sure, you can perk them, but that doesn't mean that it will stop the flow.  B29s are perked, and perked high, yet they are still used and have massive damage potential.    


Again, I am not against this but I am not convinced that it would go as planned for the OP and all supporters.  If it was to be added, it would need some extremely delicate balancing to adjust to all the ramifications aforementioned.

He isn't talking about P-40s or other early war stuff.  He is talking about Typhoons, Mosquitoes, Ki-84s, N1K2-Js and Fw190F-8s.

They don't?  Two 1000kg bombs and four 250kg bombs seems like a good bit to me.

Not the hangar setting favor them but the amounts of ords carried by them.
Halving the amounts of ords required means to kill a hangar also means you are doubling the number of hangars that can be dropped by a P-38 or B-17. And thus, they still will be much more attractive for that role.

A B-17 carries 6,000 lb in bomb weight and a max destruction power of about 6,600lb
The Tu-2 carries 6,600 lb in bomb weight and a max destruction power of about 6,300lb. Impressive for a little thing that can be so much faster on target.

Reducing the maximum amount of ords to 250 kilos/500 pounds for fighters would level the playing field somewhat.  Late War fighters would still be used far more but there would be an increase in lesser bomb trucks getting the call.  Especially ones with center mounted bombs.  A P-51D would be at a slight disadvantage, due to carrying two wing-mounted 250 lb bombs -  versus a P-39Q, carrying a center-mounted 500 lb bomb. 

All the Late War heavy fighter base smashing is bad for the game, IMO.

I don't agree with halving the amount required but reducing it to 2k would open the whole RAF planeset and help the LW a bit.The US planeset would have the luxury to be able to use rockets on secondary targets, reducing the number of people required to take a field.
