I thought you'd like that  :)

Results of our most recent mission. I brought along a couple of the cherries to get them some experience, because man privates suck at killing gazoo.

Congratulations to Tupac, the first to get the Crimson Heart. I'm surprised at how lucky we've been. I haven't been saving and doing do overs, you're really surviving. This one was hairy at the beginning, never came close to using up an entire aid bag before this mission. Seems like after you kill half of the aliens they go into defensive mode. When they do that it's just a matter of methodically clearing the map. But after that we have to go inside and clear the alien ship, an ordeal of suspenseful terror punctuated by horror.

Oh and I forgot to add, you captured the alien ship commander alive! Well played earthmen.  :salute

I think we just lost CAP Serenity. He's down, he was given first aid right after he was hit, sometimes that works. LT Karnak accidentally shot him in the back with a plasma machinegun. Serenity was kneeling too close to Karnak's line of fire when Karnak blew the door of the flying saucer down with a ten round burst. Serenity caught at least a couple rounds in the back. Hope he pulls through but it aint looking good.

Serenity made it, just barely. He had 2HP left, he earned the Crimson Heart.

Major Serenity was killed in action 23 March 1980. He and three other operatives were clearing the command deck of a downed alien cruiser. While engaged in a ferocious close quarters firefight with three androns that were firing explosive ammunition, Major Serenity was struck down. He died Immediately. Major Serenity was an irreplaceable asset to the Xenonauts organization and his contribution will not be forgotten. He was a decorated veteran of twelve missions including the Edinburgh and Cape Town missions. In his time of service with this organization he was awarded The Service Medal for active participation in ten missions, the Order of Merit for the elimination of ten extraterrestrials in combat, the Citation for Courage for his actions at Edinburgh, and the Crimson Heart for being seriously wounded in service of humanity.

Major GScholz and Captain Schen were awarded the Crimson Heart for wounds sustained on this mission. Major GScholz had only 2 health points remaining by the time he was evacuated. This mission was supposed to be the first of three recovery missions of downed alien vessels. The recovery of the remaining two crash sites has been canceled and air strikes have been carried out on those sites.

Please join us in a moment of silence for Major Serenity.
