If I recall correctly, it was a company named, "On Mark" which converted B-26's to executive transport aircraft. The ones they converted were B-26B's as the "C" only had one set of flight controls. A fine gentleman by the name of Bill Turlelot, a long time pilot examiner, flew one out of "PDK" for a couple of years...told me it was very fast, but sound proofing needed some more work....direct operating costs were, of course, through the roof and most CFO's, quickly would point that out at board meetings, that is why they didn't last long in the corporate world!

I would think in the day before King Air and the soon to come small executive jets, it was kind of neat.  Earl, thanks for the story on your friend flying one of these.
