The Daily Grind - June 1943 Scores
« on: August 04, 2014, 06:32:15 AM »
A couple of computer problems have kept me from posting these earlier. Here they finally are!

After reviewing the logs for each frame, it looks like the Axis side had a really tough time in preventing the Allied bombers from making it to target. I thought the way I had the scoring setup it would have come out close to even. I've got notes to add in even more restrictions on planes and some alt restrictions the next time this is run. I did add in a qualifier that the Axis got to keep the points on strat objs and guns that were left standing.

Well that just drives home something I have always subscribed to.

Points don't mean diddly-squat.

That is one lopsided score for an event that was most excellent to fly in...in fact one of the most fun, action packed operations all year to date.  Sure didn't feel like a one sided Allied victory.  Enjoyed every frame very much...and no points total in the world could convince me...I lost.

Well done on this event regardless of how the sheds were scored.

Agreed Stampf.  Even in cartoon airplanes you learn to respect the difficulties faced by both sides of the War.  On another note, it looks like you crazies in FSO have talked Raptor-man out of retirement.  The mysteries of FSO never end.  WTG 68Raptor.  Alot of fun on both sides.

I also Agree Score's mean nothing in my eye's for every FSO means how much the player's have fun,,,,granted each month maybe different but then again FSO Means Friday Night Squad Op's it totally comes down to the Squad's  CO on how he plan's he mission and route of Attack's to play out... As long as the players are having fun and do not worry about Score then So be it.... That big hit is all about having fun flying with your squad and listening to your squad Co's Commands nothing else,, planned mission's are also fun but then again it all rest on the CiC's orders for each frame and the CO's of each squad.

just my 2 cent's

I would like to see "these 7 bases score points , but only five need to be attacked" a small change. The current format it seems that generally the defenders park over the field and wait.  Would like to have To search a little bit. Touch more of a guessing game. The action will still be there. IMO

I would like to thank 68Raptor for stepping in last month. He stepped up the plate and delivered a great FSO.

Thanks Raptor! <S>
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!
