Randy,  if i was flying to pick, i would land more than 1/4 of my sorties.  I feel the few times i have ran into you have been pretty fair.  Your.welcome to join my plane for a few sorties to see it from my end.  I don't consider my flying style remotely close to rocky, and vinkman doesnt fall in that category either.

Right. No way a Pee-51 can stay  behind a Lala flown by a good stick, even starting out from the Lala's dead six.

As for the film, it shows Im in it for the fight. The smart thing would have been to not roll with you and try to stay behind your 3-9 line. In a pony I should have just blown by and avoided any trouble at all, but wheres the fun in that.

I don't wanna speak outta school, but I think this may be the sort of excuse making Bnzs was warning you against with this piece of advice:
Take this attitude: If you get shot down, it is your fault. No matter what happened, somewhere along the line YOU made wrong choices for that situation.

Iantheknight=BoNeZ

Unpossible. You know for a fact that he knows nothing about flying, right? Thus he couldn't possibly reverse you and shoot you down, even though you started on his dead six. Can't happen. Right?

ankle humpers

On that subject...
What you describe above is called "picking", not "fighting". What [a fellow AH player] does is called fighting. He doesn't sneak up on people and shoot their plane down. He flies right up along side, wiggles his wings, tosses a quick wink and then gives them his six and says, "Lets fight!".

MI know my "skills" as a cartoon pilot will never be in the same league as [fellow AH player] and I'm ok with that. I just don't have the time to put into it. Again, Im ok with that. Todays players don't seem to WANT to be the same type of player [fellow AH player] is..... one of the best...a different breed of player.... a dieing breed unfortunately.  Still I'd take 100 [fellow AH player] over a thousand players like we have today.

Lazer, vinkman and rocky are probably the best at it in the game.

Neither Lazer or Vinkman are "pickers." It may have happened if you were in the wrong place at the wrong time, but that is not their primary style.

Right. No way a Pee-51 can stay  behind a Lala flown by a good stick, even starting out from the Lala's dead six.

This thread has taken a turn for the worse.......it suppose to show support for a respected player who has left the game.......not the petty BS that this forum is famous for.  :bhead

Take another look at the fight. I think you need that lubricant in another part of your anatomy.

Probably. So I am also Dedalos now? DAY-UM, looks like my sub fees are the primary thing keeping HTC's profits in the black these days.

This is a cool story.   :aok

I am amazed at your ability to recall things three years back.  However:

a.) I flew only rarely in the MA in 2011.  That was during my long hiatus in the DA.

b.) I was flying as Hoplite, as I had been since tour 55, for most of 2011.  I changed to Fulcrum in mid-Dec before coming back to flying in the MA full time.  I never killed nor was killed by you in the MA while flying as Hoplite or Fulcrum in 2011.

c.) In January of 2012 (tour 144) it seems I did kill you while flying a Dora.  So I was in error...we have indeed met! You have a remarkable memory...though the details are a little off.....you were in a 262 at the time.

http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/newscores/killsinp.php?playername=Fulcrum&selectTour=LWTour144&pindex=44&kname=Debrody

:)

As far as I can tell that's the only time either of us have killed one another....at least in 2011 or 2012 (my lunch time is over so I can't check Pilot stats at this time).

BTW - I guess I should have clarified my prior statement....none of us recall fighting you recently i.e. while a member of The Damned.

In the interest of not derailing yet another thread, I will not reply further to this discussion.

:salute sir.  Hope to see you back online soon.
oh well. I was mistaken, me, the rotten evil bastage. Still, do you know when it is time to bring up the 262s... when the opposing side is hording like mofo...

My mistake wont justify the style youre "fighting". And for some minor reason, i would rather trust in my friend's stories than in your bragging.

None of you awesomenesses will ever see me flying, i promise that. Your kind have turned this game into what it is now. Empty playgound of cartoon cowardice.

Again, picking is not bad.  It is part of the game that everyone does to one extent or the other.  If I have a chance to pick I will.  My point was to develop skills to avoid picking by SA  and avoidance skills.  The people I mentioned as a compliment to their skills for identifying a target then making the kill.

The people that shout foul when being picked have failed to maintain SA.  I know it makes me mad when I get caught with my pants down.  I think it is anger at ourselves for a momentary lapse in SA.
