G3-MF
« on: August 10, 2014, 11:46:00 AM »
Friday night was a banner event for me. I don't think I have gotten 5 kills in a year before, much less in a frame.
When we turned to meet the real threat from the South my squad got a little scattered. When I reached the high bombers several G3-MF were in on the intercept. I got as many well timed check sixes from them as I did my own squad.
A few minutes later after the 109s had forced me downward I took a few shots at the NOE bombers and went to rearm. G3-MF kept everyone in the are appraised of the 109s trying to hold us down.
I came across one of G3-MF being harassed by three 109s on the deck. I came in to help, but one of the 109s held high. Had my hands full with him and 1wolf didn't make it. The high one managed to suck all the advantage out of me. Had BFOOT1 not interveined when asked, my pilot wound would have gotten me killed in the next pass. That move got him dead and I got the kill by proxie.
As it turned out the squad we were fighting had several of my squad's heads in a bag. Wish things had turned out better and they all when in the drink.

Main point> Participation in FSO during a frame varies by squad and there are few rules to dictate how a squad should conduct themselves where helping others is concerned. A small squad enveloped by a swarm may not have the time to send sit-rep out. A large squad defending by themselves has little use to send out a call for help at T+50 and no help available. Squads have only minimum requirements for appraising their side of what is going on in their area.
I have found G3-MF time and time again preforming far above the minimum requirements. Saved my bacon. Hope to return the favor.
