yes!  could only .rs (hope it went thru) due to non-fighting snowflake association.  :noid

I wish more people would be confident enough to reverse instead of just continuing to run to help/ack...  :joystick: :airplane:

This is what some people play AH for - good fights.

Here are 3 films of me vs Eagler (and yeah, I'm taking the Ws here, lol!) my La7 vs him in a 109k 2x and lastly in 109g2.  Very good historical/performance matchups. Each encounter started at a lower alt than the previous one because I knew it was Eagler and that we're both looking for fun, not just kills.

1. I had alt coming into this one since I was heading towards a secondary base - big rook/knit furball in next sector. I was in an interdiction mission and was aware Eagler was in the general area.  Once I spotted the lower 109, I assumed it was Eagler and decided to be more aggressive on my bounce instead of a longer BnZ delaying tactic in case more upped.

2. I hung around the area, knowing Eagler would reup and come back for more.  I didn't continue to climb, but hung around at a lower alt (looking for fun fights, not just kills.)  However, there was a yak also coming, so my merge had to take into account the possible yak-pick.  Once the yak cleared the area, it was on with Eagler. I reversed with him 2k on my 6 - how many in MA even do that these days?

3. Last one was an even lower starting point - we merged on the deck for a great fight.

Here's the thing:  Once I knew it was Eagler, I made a conscious decision to alter (slow down) my merge because Eagler has a great move and would very often pop me on it when I had too much speed.  I decided to not be so predictable and try to take advantage of his probable mindset in me doing the thing that always got me killed in past.  It paid off.  Eagler is a great, fun fight and we will often end up in these extended turning situations (if I survive that first merge.)

The takeaway - don't become too predictable and know how your plane(s) handle at slower speeds.  Also note how Eagler made sure to get some speed/e out of his reups as I didn't press him closer to base. Much fun was had by both of us.

Good stuff Shane, well flown as always. Eagler another one who's a guaranteed good fight  :salute

great fights with TheStig in the MA! sorry for the shakeyness of the first one, I had to calibrate my head set. Second film has some moments of "extending" but the last 2-3 minutes is when the the good fight happens.

I have been away for about 2 and a half years, going to school.  I feel like I forgot what little I knew.  Spar went into matchplay to help get my timing back.  Still getting used to the new stick as well (X52)  This is a video of BW1stpar spanking me badly.  It hurt but I needed it!  I used to win at least half against him.  I'll get back in the saddle eventually!

I had the actual views and icons turned off initially but they come on a minute in.

Dont think so. You would have to download and install the game on your phone and I dont think that would work, different operating systems.

Really nice flying. Your ammo counters are weird compared to mine, is that a VR thing? Also I presume you're using a single switch to toggle back-forth views?

Yea I noticed that with the ammo counter, It only does it in the film viewer for me. The VR's head movement is 1 to 1 and you can't adjust it, as far as I know, like with Track IR. I know some guys will set their hatswitch to left or right, I find it easier to do the full 360 and just remember to look the other way when switching. Probably makes it a pain to watch especially with the VR shakes.

Hoping if I keep bumping this thread more people will post their fights for all to enjoy

Wonder how many are left that are interested in ACM anymore, certainly in improving it instead of repeating known, reliable things. That P-38 Hammerhead video I made had 610-views about 300% higher than anything else, but I think only 7% came from the AH forum and it generated zero discussion. No one here even asked me how to do it.

Kinda makes you homesick for long ago

The crazy thing is, there a people that advocate that they like AH3 as it is now because they believe that; with less numbers and players that have been around for years, "it's harder and more competitive now".
Delusional twits don't even realise that that they've slowly gone through stages of Dunning Kruger effect. :old:
There won't be many out there with a thirst more new techniques... And that's what's really sad.
But the ones who are will no doubt be in the top 25 for score through fighting alone, and not by shameless score chasing

A2a acm is way too hard for most theses days

They don't want to spend the time nor sit and suck as they slowly get the hang of it

Their fragile egos can't take losing that much continously before they start to win some
