I am sorry for the short answer earlier, I was on my phone and my Tapatalk-app was lagging so bad that I could not type anything. But to answer your initial questions, yes the snaprolls were intentional, since I was so slow they became my last resort option to twist out of the situations. And I was under such constant pressure that I never got to build any E back, so constant flaps work to gain as much E as possible before each manouvre, then full flaps and rudder-kicks with balanced used of ailerons to keep the snaprolls somewhat controlled. And it worked pretty good each time, I only got minor pings but no damage whatsoever.
But it was a constant no ending series of close-calls, both mentally and physically exhausting. And by the end my WEP started failing also, so I was glad when I finally could break away and get some rest.
The speeds were pretty low most of the time, as I had to use full flaps just to keep it afloat at times. And as I said, little to no time to raise flaps and gain E between the attacks, so the snaprolls were essential to my survival here.
