2 Lancs, a Vulcan and what may have been a phantom going over my home.
Here's the film from my ipod
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8v8MSK3zgmI
Sadly, it took me a few moments to get to the ipod and to the right icon to start filming, and no zoom on the ipod.

Most I've ever seen to a good extent of my memory was a single P51 over VA Beach last month. Besides that all I see is F16's, C17's, and commercial aircraft modified to work for official US Government transportation (blue bottom, white top) that land and take off from Andrews Air Force Base.
And even worse the F16's don't even fly in tight formation...they fly astern of each other in 2K intervals. Tightest I've ever seen em fly was a 4 plane diamond formation.
And last to mention they fly over every single day.

Hehe, I'm in the landing pattern for Luke AFB in Arizona, every night, like clockwork, F16's and Now F35's 1k over me, deploying flaps, throttling up and down, it's heaven.

Nice!
By the way, there is a great documentary on Youtube about the Vulcans used in the Falklands war -- a very good documentary if you haven't seen it already:

How far away are you from Newcastle? I wonder if your planes were flying to/from this show.

I live far south of Newcastle. RAF Waddington, RAF Conningsby and East Kirby airbases are all within 30 miles of me.
The Lanc and C47 every so often fly over my town of Boston.

That is pretty neat, too bad you didnt get more video and a closer view.
The best I've seen was a P38 and an F22 flying in formation over the Sioux Falls air show a few years ago. THAT was very cool.

I stepped out of work one day several years ago to see four B-17's flying over in formation.

We were sitting at an Arby's in Springfield, IL on our way to Chicago and heard a rumbling outside. Luckily I had insisted we take the window seat and were able to quickly look out and see a B17 flying over us at low altitude. We did a quick search on the GPS for the nearest airport and sure enough there it was.
