Quite honestly, both the same game play wise.  Even the communities are pretty much the same and the same complaints you hear about AH's community or game play were the same exact complaints you heard in AW.

About 16 years ago I saw an Air Warrior package sitting on the shelf of a game game store. Was instantly excited until I read "online game".

HUH. Don't remember seeing target boxes in AW2 Or 3. Must be an AW1 feature. Pretty cool vid though.
