I doubt very much you hear anything until they start the beta testing. Most times alpha testers are sworn to secrecy. Companies don't want their new and up and coming stuff out early so that other games/companies can jump the gun on them.

From what it sounded like with alpha recruitment thread, it seems that the people involved know little about the actual game.

It's not boring or tedious, it's just very early.  But yes, we're all sworn to secrecy.

However, I'm sure HT won't mind me saying:  Trees look so cool now.

Is it unthinkable to upgrade once every 10 years? You can get relatively fast hardware for peanuts now if you don't shop for the latest and the greatest.

Not sure about Crabby, but im not to the 10 year mark on my comp. Some people cant play the game cause the 50 cent a day is to much. Not to mention if they would have to upgrade their computer.

That's something I've never really understood. Must be something in the differences in social security in different countries. And before you say something about wealthy people mocking the poor, let me just say that the income of my family barely meets the official European Union poverty threshold. I know people with much less income than us, having difficulties to make ends meet. Yet they can afford smoking and drinking. Remind you that our government has put serious taxes on both. Smoking a box a day costs about € 150. A couple of beers a day is € 60. Getting the $15 monthly for AH could be paid by recycling three (3) cans daily!

I've got an older system by today's standards that still runs the game well by my standards.

Is it unthinkable that injured/disabled folk use this game as a escape,  especially ones that make less than or equal to 10K a year?
