wargame european escalation
« on: August 31, 2014, 05:19:52 AM »
This game just isn't any good. It looked like it would be great but it's a disappointment. Maybe I've been spoiled by CMSF but I was really looking forward to a good cold war RTS game. I'm glad I tried it before I got Airland Battle.

CMSF = combat mission shock force?
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

I thought WG: European Escalation was great.

It's very addicting. I've wasted hundreds of hours of my life on cmsf. There is a soviet-afghanistan module for it. But unfortunately they never did an 80's Nato-Warsaw Pact module.

I saw that. I did try the demo mission when SF first came out but my pc couldnt handle it.

I might check it out.

I didn't fall in love with it at first because I was used to the older turn based CM games. You can play CMSF in turn based mode, but RTS mode is a blast imo. CMSF is almost exactly like CM Normandy, just cooler toys.
