Did they keep the 20mm's or the mg's together with the 6-pounder gun ?
My ammo last for 6 Lancasters, or one Yak3.

Didn't look like it....probably would've been REALLY nose heavy....worse than 410 I'm guessing.

The video seems to show 4 guns in the nose along w/ the 6 lber. Not sure if those are the MGs or the 20mm.

After watching the footage this would be a cool plane to have! ROF on the 6 lber was about 1 rd/sec. Not bad.

Very nice.  Of course, it would not be near as agile or fast as the current Mosquitos in game but wow what a punch!

They kept the 303s. The Mollins 57mm cannon filled the bomb bay leaving no room for the 20mm cannons (which are installed in the front half of the VI's bomb bay).

The Mosquito XVIII "tze-tze" also had extra armor and was thus heavier than our VI model (and tougher!). On the other hand, the Mollins is a proper AP anti-tank auto-cannon that saw action as a land weapon. The XVIII was initially intended to be a tank killer. In the end, though it was built in small numbers, the XVIII saw extensive use with coastal command against ships and U-boats. It was later phased out when the Mossies VI's were equipped with 25lbs, solid heads AP rockets (not the ones in the game) which were even more effective against ships, and still allowed to carry the 4*20mm. The Mollins was also fired in air-to-air on a few occasions and at least one JU88 was downed.

The XVIII will be a fine and unique addition to AH and the best anti-tank flying cannon in the game. There are more urgent planes to add (Beaufighter!), but if you rate them by "fun" or "coolness" or "added value" to the game, this one will be at the top...

You're seeing the X4 303's...the X4 Hispanos are usually just below :)

I would not be surprised if the  6-pounder version with all its armor, and external bombs, fully fueled, out-turns an A8 with 2*20mm and 25% fuel  :lol

I think it probably would save because Mossies are awesome!

Used to love popping a column of tanks in Fighter Ace with this puppy,   25 rounds pop BOOM pop BOOM.

I would say it is needed more so than a beau because it will give another option (better than the 410, b25h, stuka and hurri2d since nerf)   when the ords are porked to kill the GV hordes with.

And it needs to be exactly the same damage as a stuka one hit one kill.    :D

With no 20mm on board enemy planes will feel quite safe after all 303's don't hurt anybody and the big gun well there is a very small chance of getting hit by that right?

The mollins has the same (high!) Muzzle velocity as the NS37 on the yak9T. You can definitely hit planes with it, but the rate of fire is about a shot per second. Will make a fine mess out of bombers.

Here is an article from Tony Williams about the Mollins:

Swedish airforce used Mossie, along with Mustang (called J-9) spit21 etc, also Ju86 and our own Swedish designed planes, j21 and j-22, even Italian Caproni was used (swedish pilots called them equivalent of kinder-egg because something odd happened every flight)
