In the month that I've been back, I've noticed that bomb****s are becoming way too popular..

I've noticed the Icon range is down to 1.0k which is a bit helpful, but could we not have them at all. I think it'll make bomb****s think twice before launching, or when they do decide to, they'll have no icon to guage how high up they are. And maybe it won't do much against bomb****, but I don't see a point at having GV icons for aircraft.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Why a -1? Isn't it annoying when you're in a tank or M3 hiding in some trees and your icon appears when they fly over? I don't think it does ANY good to the game by allowing the icons. Might as well put a big target around the GVs.

Great!  As long as there's also no GV icon for friendly aircraft either, and no aircraft icon for GV's.  Sounds excellent.  That way you practically won't have to interact with aircraft at all.

There are never significant short term sudden differences in player  behaviour / acrivities on a global scale  unless something was changed fundamentally.

Well if that's the case, then my tolerance level for bomb****s have decreased DRASTICALLY. Which is enough for me to post this thread.

Just because there's a short icon won't mean I cannot spot you from 5-1p' AGL.

Wirbles at distance are notoriously shiny like P-38L's , only a matter of avoiding them, and further more sooner or later tanks ae going to fire their main or make engine sounds leading me to them...

All your wish will do is make smarter gv killers...

As for M3's sure they'll hide easier, but sooner or later they'll need to come to target and will only make those now smarter gv killers hang around town longer, hang out in a chute, or get themselves or a friend to camp maprooms...

What will you do then? Demand that bombs be removed from the game?...  Your tank will get bombed eventually and your tears will be harvested.

The only way an AC will be able to hear a GV on the ground, is if their AC sound is turned off and they turn GV sounds all the way up, and even then, I don't know about the range of sound. Basically I want the bomb****s to use more of their senses and do some work to find the GVs to kill them. Instead of allowing the computer to do the work by giving them the Icon.

The OP is choosing to ignore the flip side. In many cases tanks are escorted by wirble making bombing them a suicide mission. The OP just needs to bring a countryman along in a wirble.

Fighter bombers accounted for the majority of tank kills by airplane. No icons means the bomb tards and Il2 tards will learn to use FULL ZOOM correctly. And if no icon means tanks will mass together with wirbles to become hedge hogs of mutual support. Expect conveyor belts of low carpet bombing bombers sticking it in your outraged eye......

You will still loose your tank to bombs one way or another.

You should be happy, instead of Hitech changing commander mode to help IL2 and bomb tards. We adjusted our tactics and slaughter tanks by the same numbers as before commander mode.

Nothing in this game is easy. Including trying to deliver things in a jeep or M3. My squad mates regularly sneek tanks onto airfields before getting bombed. Sometimes getting bombed between the spawn and airfield. I never hear them complain. Pigs don't fuss about chit. They just get even.

By the way, you do know AH3 is on the way, who knows what Hitech has in store for us. This fussing is getting old.

I agree, some way or another, We will be bombed, but I'm trying to give a solution to reduce it a little bit. I also believe the Wirbles have it a little too easy as well. Taking away Icons for ALL ground units will even out the ground warfare table a little bit. Yes, it's a drastic change, but people are ALWAYS complaining about bomb****s on 200.. I see it every night. Just a possible solution.

Removing GV icons would only be fair if aircraft icons were disabled for all GVs. And you're getting bombed anyway.

I think it's best to have no icon visible for a gv in a thick area of trees or shrub. Otherwise...you shouldnt be out in the open when there are A20's, IL2's and the like around.
