Has been that way forever, or at least it feels like it. The older I get the more I suffer from it but that's only one reason. The colour scheme on the maps are different, so it's quite impossible to find one single tone for a crisp contrast. Also monitors are different, not to mention their individual settings. A multitude of variables to work with.
