Offline and TA Dive Bomb Angle Indicator
« on: September 26, 2014, 11:37:41 AM »
It would be useful to have a dive bomb angle indicator for the TA and offline practice.  It would be cool if a numerical indicator showed up on the gun sight.

An angle indicator would be useful as well in all fighter training.

Just curious how it would be useful for fighter training?

For dive angle I assume you already know about looking out the side view to the horizon but you want more precision.

You can also use the artificial horizon for a repeatable dive angle, just line it up with the two 60 degree bank marks.

He must have recently found a free copy of the NAVY Glide Bombing manual NAVAER 00-80S-46. It has charts for angle, speed, and Mil lead with the Mk8 125Mil ladder attacker gunsight.
