FIX THIS CRAP
« on: October 09, 2014, 08:28:39 PM »
After 10 years of this, it really needs to be fixed.

Gets a little old tapping a tree with a tank and have it pinball out 65 yards from where you were sitting only to land on its top..Christ..

You should have been around when touching a rock made your tank explode.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

Just like the collision model, Stop running into trees and you will NEVER have a problem. Pretty easy when you think about it really.

Yeah, it is annoying no doubt.  But, others have adapted and accepted responsibility for their bumper car antics.  You should too.

I sent bug reports for the Mk108 30mm dmg bug (on bombers) on dec 2013 first, and its still not fixed, so your tree bug...

then.... odds are it wasn't a "bug".  I have full faith in HTC's ability to check and correct legitimate "bugs" sent their way.

For instance, a few years ago I sent video of a M4/76 taking out my Panther from 2800 yards away to my 12:30-1 O'clock. The hit came in and hit my chassis at track level, along the right side, at such a shallow angle that any tank round should have deflected, regardless of caliber. Not to mention busting through the track on top of it all. The next update it showed a "fix" to an armor bug on the Panther. Case in point, don't necessarily expect HTC to hand out cookies for showing a bug, or even a get "thank you".

Submit your "bug", then keep calm and carry on.

Again... the tree is an object in AH that needs to be contended with. Learn then, respect them, deal with them.  Suck it up, cupcake.

I got 14 films showing the bug, there  are whole threads about it for ages, im not the only one -by far- to have reported it.

So far, they "cant reproduce the bug", but it exist and it continues... :bhead

Well for a company that wants to claim it has the best and most accurate modeling, you would think a tree flipping a tank would be unacceptable. as well as leaves blocking AP rounds.

Also, if tanks can be repaired by supplies and go on to get more kills, why cant planes be repaired on the rearm pad ?? even if we had to taxi into a hanger... I think we should have that option too !  :old:

Isn't that from the bombing of Villers-Bocage? 223 Lancasters, 100 Halifax, 14 Mosquitos dropped 1,700 tons of bombs. The bombing was so fierce and relentless that hardened German infantry were committing suicide, and yet only one Tiger was destroyed and three damaged.

How many of you get nasty PM accusing you of ramming when you did everything short of diving into the ground to avoid ramming the PO'd PMing whining toadling. It's even more toadlingly ironic when you loose the collision for all of your avoidance efforts and they are still PMing you to accuse you of trying to ram them on the merge they were HOing you from.

Wonder what they accuse each other of when they both shoot each other between the eyes at the same moment in other FPS games......

oh, I know exactly what you're referring too.  It has happened to me on occasion. Thing is after a while you learn to keep off the items that will bounce you back and spin you around 180°. Dont get me wrong, I dont agree with the "modeling" of the trees, hedges, buildings, etc, but keep in mind HTC has to take in to consideration a destroyable environment. The more objects able to be moved, destroyed, repaired, etc, the more of a load it has on the PC. The more variables involved in the game.  No, I dont think a tree branch is going to stop an AP round fired from a Panther, but I also know that HTC had to draw the line somewhere.

So again.... adapt and over come.  After all, those trees, hedges, and buildings are anchored.  YOU drive in to them, they didn't jump out at you.   :aok

The squirrels are there for your protection. Apparently the squirrels also have titanium springs for tails.
