Personally I try to land on the big factory building just to see if I can pull it off.

Doable..

As far as the OP goes.. if you landed a perfectly good airplane at a location that wasn't an airfield, the disciplinary repercussions would probably alter your speech tones by an octave or so..

If so, he's fighting the wrong battle, as ditching doesn't impact K/D at all.

People can read.  A ditch ain't a landing....

The inability to land at hq could be solved by hardening/bomb proofing HQ. (See multiple other threads and posts.) it just feels gamey bailing or ditching on "concrete", but the idea of making a return flight just seems like enabling the abuser.

You guys get the point that the ship has sailed, and AH3 is HTC's focus now?

Note, the AH2 ubiquitous 30mm bug is simply sitting in the Bug Post forum. HTC has <1% of the number of programmers other game companies keep on staff. You want AH3 or you want to whine? AH2 is AH2, and this is the last of AH2. Burn a copy to DVD for posterity. I bet HiTech has issued Skuzzy ear plugs until the grand release of AH3, so he can get his work done.

Then by all means, bellow like stuck leviathans. HTC will need the feed back as always with new code releases.

Well at least this isn't at the end of Brave Heart. It's just the middle with the numpties and their scrolls.

There should be a nice chunk of cheese for the folks that break away from game play to fix something that should not be broken anyway.

Last time there was a 109 hovering over HQ shooting all the goons. I had great pleasure of getting the kill on that %&@#.

In the early 1970s, in college, I told Navy ROTC Marine-op people that I thought the carrier of the future was dirigibles carrying gyrocopters (the Bond movie "You Only Live Twice" had recently come out).  They took me seriously.  I kept that conversation going for weeks.  I haven't been able to take them seriously since.

I wonder if the U.S. Navy would have still been utilizing them at the start of WWII if the Akron and Macon hadn't both been destroyed successively in the mid 30s.
