Data usage

I've just recently started recording some flights using bandicam. My question is, would using a third party recorder use up more data when online or does it simply record what is on your screen?

Can't speak for bandicam but when I used fraps, it recorded every pixel of every frame in a raw uncompressed format.

But did it use more internet data to record? The reason I'm asking is due to living in the middle of no where I'm limited on the amount of Internet data I can use. I'm just wondering if by recording does it somehow uses more data than just playing as normal.

they all record what you are showing on the screen. only time they used extra data is when you upload or perhaps do an update.
