My Dad and his brother Eddie.  Dad was US Army Signal Corps.  His unit, 1st Signal Service Platoon (Special), was the US militarys first electronic counter-measure unit.  They utilized radar jamming equipment, Dad was a steel tower rigger having been a telephone lineman before being drafted.  First deployment was to the Aleutian Islands after the Japanese invasion there.  Then it was off to North Africa and Corsica for a while.  Back to the states for a break then it was Iwo Jima in late February of '45.  Uncle Eddie served in the Coast Guard.

The guy on the left is Dad's youngest brother Urban who served in the Artillery.  Urban was killed in Belgium in Dec. '44 during the Battle of the Bulge.

Columbo

"When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return."

Fate whispers to the warrior "You cannot withstand the storm" and the warrior whispers back "I AM THE STORM"

Salute to all my brothers, many of whom are gone.  We walked the walk.

And to my Son who is over there now.

God Bless 'em all
