The closest we have to masthead and skip bombing is popup fling bombing. Airjer is a master at it with B26 against CV. He comes in NOE at speed. Then about 1000yds out pops up and releases his load from all three bombers. Between his speed and the trajectory he satisfies the current fuse run distance for the bombs.
You can do something similar which was used by A20 and B25 in the PTO. The target would be approached at 1500-2000ft at speed. 5000-6000yds out the A20 would shallow dive to 800-1000ft, then level bomb at speed. In our A20 I push the gunsight all the way down touching the bottom of the windscreen. Something about that orientation made judging the release point just as the gusnight bottom touched the target the most effective.
You can test this offline using the lead computing dive bombing sight. If you are attacking GV, which you can set as one of your drones, use only the bomb bay bombs. It is a bite trying to favor one wing over the other in that attack profile for something as small as a GV.
