China's new Y20 Cargo Aircraft

Look familiar?  Amazing what they can punch out in 5 years when they get their stolen data.  2009 a Boeing employee was caught selling the C17 plans and data to the Chinese.  Sure didn't take them long to work from those plans.  You can see a little bit of the Airbus a/c blended into the design from the looks of it.  Not an exact copy of the C17 by any means, but a very close relation from the looks of it.

Stolen plans or not, if you're going to build a 4 engine military transport plane it's going to come out looking very similar to the C-17 or Y-20…..it's simply state of the art.

Well if they did use stolen data then they mixed it up because it looks more like an Il-76 with an Airbus tail.

True, pretty much all 4 engine modern jet transports will look close enough I suppose.  The Chinese J20 sure looks like an F22 as well however, and their current JSF J31 copy looks much like the F35 with 2 engines - it's plainly obvious that they've copied US designs, if not in whole, at least in great part, for many, many current A/C.  I've seen pictures of the AH64 copy they've made, and it's so close to be scary, the same site linked above has pictures of it on a flatbed trailer in China, and you would be hard pressed from 500 yards away to tell the difference from an Apache, and in low light, almost impossible at that range I would wager.

It's not just planes...

They may look look like BMWs, but they might as well be built out of rice paper.

One way to create confusion is to make your vehicles look like theirs.  It's a double-edged sword though.

A radar blip with no IFF is a radar blip with no IFF...

A radar blip with no IFF is soon to be wreckage...

Fixed.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.
