Merlins to Malta Frame 2 Objectives Sent!

To the 49th FG and the Lachender Teufelskopf Gruppe!

There were some concerns about the Mass Disco last night and the number of Spitfires and Bf 109Fs lost. Looking at the logs it only shows 4 Total Discos, so I can't tell if you were lost due to the Disco or not, or even shot down in your reconnect attempt.

The Bf 109Fs and Spitfire Mk Vs had very similar losses and aircraft landed successfully, so we will go with the numbers from Frame 1. Please note the Allies Spitfire requirements for Malta and the Task Forces. Aircraft not used on either side in Frame 1 have been included in the reinforcements.

There is one change to the plane set, I have removed the Seafire Mk IIC.

There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

How many 109Fs carried over from frame 1?

37 Bf 109s Launched
21 Landed Successfully

So 21 Carry over, 11 were unused, and 48 are added reinforcements for 80 total Bf 109F-4s in Frame 2.

As for Spitfire Mk Vs

44 Spitfire V's launched
24 Landed Successfully at Malta fields

So 24 Carry over, 4 were unused and 48 are added for 52 reinforcements from the CV's and 24 Spitfires at Malta for a total of 76 Spitfire Mk Vs.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Hey Nef,

If the first frame is supposed to represent the effort to ferry Spits into Malta, why do unlaunched Spits add to the reinforcements at Malta?

Theoretically, couldn't the Allies launch NO Spit Vs in frame 1 and then get all 48 added to their Frame 2 reinforcements this way?

Wouldn't it make more sense to say that unlaunched Spits in frame 1 are lost if the CVs are hit/sunk, since they never ferried over to Malta? 

Just an idea that seems more logical to me.
