Color Reference
« on: November 09, 2014, 01:23:03 AM »
Stumbled across this website tonight while playing around with some other things. It has a BUNCH of the US Navy color specs.

http://www.jpsmodell.de/dc/usn_e.htm#1940

The color swatches aren't necessarily accurate, but it at least indicates the exact ANA number for each color which can be matched up on another source IE Simmer's Paint Shop.

Looks like if you go up a couple levels you can get to other branches (USAAF) and even nationalities.

I think this might be a VERY good resource for identifying what colors ought to be used on a skin.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Any way to get this stickied? This looks like an invaluable resource for anyone having questions about what color schemes ought to be used. Here's the main page:

I just noticed this site even has specs for ground vehicles, as well.
