And down here in SE Texas it is a balmy 70 degrees today.   :neener:

lets see...if I add todays high temp with the wind gusts and mutiply the snow depth then subtract the wind chill i get. One Hundered and Thirty Two!

(24+30)*2-6=132

132 is almost twice 70.

Here's how the 1994 Voyager looked on the 18Th.

And you know what, when the snow melts, the house will still be there.

It's bad. Too much snow in a very short period of time.

Shovelled three inches this morning. Yesterday it was six inches where I work (closer to city center). The southern side of the city to Springville, from the lake shore to southern Rochester it's measured in many FEET.

They're expecting another two to three FEET of snow today.

Roofs are starting to cave in.

It's bad down there.

 Fuze,

I called my Mom up north to see how she was doing and how much snow she had and surprizingly she had very little. She told me I should call my aunt in Buffalo to see how she was doing!

I called her on Tuesday night and she told me it was snowing just like at home!  She is used to getting hit with large snow falls, but as she said enough is enough!

Good news is mid 50's by the weekend,if you dont have to go out then stay put until the warmth does most the hard work!

We got hit last night, nothing like what you got but it's close to a foot, unfortunately I have to clear the driveway as we have to go out before the melt happens!

All that melting is going to cause other problems like flooding and crushed roofs.

I'm surprised Buffalo citizens haven't demanded that their officials officially change the name of Buffalo NY;

It's just snow. Feel a bit like the 101St at Bastogne, it's nice to have the help but we didn't need to get 'rescued'!

Scott,

I'll wave back! :)

Watching WGRZ's AM coverage again.  Looks like the snow bands are cranking up again.

Watching their video really puts things in perspective.  Only heavy construction type equipment snow blowers seem to make a dent in the worst hit neighborhoods.

There's still no getting around in a car.  Folks' pantries are running low by now; no trucks getting into grocery stores either; plus, no deliveries for pharmacies.

My guess is they'll be snow bound until sometime Friday when temperatures are forecast to rise.
  getting closer hap :neener:

Evening here.

Ty Scott for the wave :)

Hope the water and anticipated rain does not damage much.
