House Guest User Name

This has been wished before but thought I would simplify the wish.  During the holidays, we have house guest.  They get a kick at trying their hand at AH and someday they might be a new customer.

What I wish for is to have some sort alternate user name for the house guest.  It can be attached to my score, have no score or what ever is simplest.

 It could be a check box that just added HG to my user name.  It could be limited in time.

Just need a way to identify a different person is at the keyboard.

  Along the same lines:  I wish that on certain days, or once a month, I could run a second account for free for 12 or 24 hours. 

I had a second computer at my house with a joystick.  I paid for a second account for awhile to try to get some family members interested. It didn't work for my sons.  But I had my brother at my place one day, and now he's hooked.

I totally understand your reasons for this wish.   But think how long it would take for somebody using it to troll,  or get around another member having his own account and paying nothing as he will be a "guest" of someone else.

I guess it could be abused, on the other hand if you could just append some standard suffix to your ID and have the perks, score etc. disabled maybe it wouldn't. Everyone would know it was a guest using your account and it would be a little nerfed. It is probably excessive work for what it would benefit however.

The answer is to allow for a daily subscription for guest accounts.  Maybe $1/day (double the regular subscription rate) then sign up for how ever many days you need.

Most MMOs offer "buddy passes" so players can give those codes to friends to test out the game.

Doesn't the 2 Week trial basically accomplish this? If you have a friend over who your showing the game to it really shouldn't be such a hassle to let them use your account and than tell them that there's a two week free trial if they seem interested.

Not really since you only get one two week free ride from a computer location. 

As someone suggested I wouldn't mind a token charge to my account to cover like a five day temp account or what ever works.

Lusche is right.  If they have already blown their two week account, they didn't know about AH, they may not have a computer strong enough fro AH, they might be short the coin for a AH account,  They are unsure about the AH experience, the reasons can go on and on.

Reread the original wish.

The only reason not to do this is an abuse of the privilege. Hopefully a small fee added to the normal user might deter some of that and that the user name would be the same but with say an add on like HG.  Randy1HG as an example or maybe CG for computer guest.
