Pro Sports Today - Include or stay away from Political messages?
« on: December 01, 2014, 01:18:39 PM »
Hi All,

Over the weekend I got to watch the Rams vs (ashamed to mention  :O).  Seeing the players come out with their Ferguson statement kind of turned me off.

Sports is supposed to be about unifying the fan base, not dividing it right?

I think the NFL goofed at taking sides on the Ray Rice issue.  Any citizenry issue should be handled by the authorities.  I just don't like any association, NHL, NFL, MLB ect... to get involved in a public service announcement and add fuel to fire.

What do you all think?  Good idea or bad for associations to get involved in public service announcements?
