Arena messages have never exactly been a "goto" source for information unless shoved in your face, however in the AvA and Special Events Arenas have some actual use, and to a smaller degree a squad's MOTD "yes we have those"
What I am asking for is the ability to place a .bmp or a zip folder containing the message along with either a plugged in string for the image to display in the arena message or squad MOTD... The string could be much like HTML or BB Code that many are familar with.
This would be nice to have in something like FSO or other events so everyone in that squad can see a plotted map or whatever while in game without having to print or tab out. "Mission waypoints are rather limited and publically seen"
Arena message image capabilities should of course be limited to CM's and above and not allowed in Custom Arenas because of the potential of abuse. And the squad MOTD should be nothing more than a priviledge like squad invite capabilities. Could there be a potential for abuse with squad MOTD too? Yes, but it would be contained within that squad and not public.
