Save the ink Duck, it's a waste of time, I've run into more open minded Taliban.
I and my squadmates have made what we consider good suggestions to HT in the past and if any response was recieved at all it was always an unequivocol NO. I mentioned having a little crosswind at ground level at some airfields occasionally to add some realism to take offs and landings, easily done...no dice. Maybe a little low level weather, ya know I've hear that low level clouds and socked in air bases were rumored to occurr during the war, apparently I was mistaken. NO CHANGES!! unless we thought of it, of course exploding sheep are good additions to keep things from getting too boring....lame....sad.

Well thought out and articulated suggestions are now whines huh?  Great, glad to be part of the club.
Ya got a category for close minded, unyielding nitwhits?

The post that Rude quoted within his original post of this thread was not well thought-out or articulated, nor was it a suggestion.

It was a clean cut whine.

Excellent choice.  Its hard not to give bonus points to an all-caps statement followed by multiple exclamation marks.

And Crash, you seriously believe that was a suggestion?  It sure looked like someone whining that HTC didn't impliment their suggestions to me.

It had nothing to do with HT, although I think that his response could have given us a little more insight into his thinking regarding this issue other than the inaccurate characerization of my idea and a simple "it's bad idea".  However,  I knew before I even started the thread that based on previous experience HT wouldnt implement anything I suggested unless there was overwhelming and continued outcry for it.  He just doesn't work that way, so be it.  I was simply dumbfounded at the lack of support from the community, but I guess I shouldnt be, it's a skewed audience.  Many of the guys like me who are bored with the MA are long gone leaving mostly the people who are happy with the MA as it is, so as a result many of the people who would support this idea are no longer around to make their opinion known. Out of 15 or so squad members who played this game at one time only 3 are left.  Not one has bothered to post, why?  It's not that important, it's just a game.  Nothing will come of it anyway so why bother.  When that happens, who does it hurt?
Also, I don't know the numbers here but I would bet that 90% of the people who fly this game dont necessarily frequent this board which is one of the reasons I think that given a try most AH players would welcome the occasional diversion.

Crash,

You are confusing your selection for this award as some kind of indictment of the validity of your post.  I don't think you should.  The post was a whine pure and simple.  Whether or not it was justified is not the point.

Look at what kind of whine points it has going for it:

  • You cited the Taliban as being more open mindended than HTC.
  • You used the term "unequivocol NO"
  • You used an all caps statement followed by multiple exlamation points
  • your post only discouraged the actions you are complaining of being discouraged
Come on man... surely you can apreciate this as the artistic edeavor for which it is being presented.

It was a beautiful whine, Crash.  Embrace it and be proud of it...hell, maybe you'll get a plaque and a free dinner at Denny's out of it!   :D

Actually the Taliban crack wasn't meant to be directed at HTC but at all of the people posting the "not in my MA and you cant make me"! stuff.  I don't mind the award I just think I'm unworthy of it, I've seen far more entertaining whines unleashed this week.  I suspect that the judge was another "not in my MA type" thereby cheapening the whole proceeding.

heheh its fun how the award winners always come and make tard of themselves   :D

its like some sort of victory speach. instead of doing "I'd like to thank..."
they just bless us with even greater whines

ditto what SOB said

maybe HTC should give perks to the winners.

Animal,

I agree with ya buddy. Crash has certainly shown himself worthy of this august award with his follow up whines!!

Congrats Crash!
